Man purportedly chokes 17-month old stepson in Jigawa (photograph)


The agents of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps in Miga, Jigawa state have captured 40-year-old Usman Sama’ila, presented above, for the supposed homicide of his seventeen (17) month old stepson, Adamu Gambo.

An announcement delivered by the representative of the Jigawa order of NSCDC, SC Adamu Shehu, said the speculate purportedly took his stepson to a homestead where he choked him until he in the end passed on.

Shehu said the presume attempted to conceal his shocking wrongdoing however it was found and answered to the order by his subsequent spouse, Bahayura. Bahayura had hitched Gambo, the dad of expired ( Adamu) and later wedded the suspect after the end of her first marriage.

”The episode occured on fourteenth August, 2020, when the suspect was affirmed to have taken his Seventeen (17) month old stepson, Adamu Gambo, to a homestead and choked him which in the end prompted his demise. The presume attempted to cover his egregious demonstration by relating the kid’s passing to cold-related contaminations, yet his significant other smelled a rat. The NSCDC representative said after exhaustive cross examination by the Intelligence and Investigation group of the Command, Sama’ila admitted to having perpetrated the wrongdoing, saying that the Baby was an interruption and impedance to his affection life. The suspect said he needs his significant other to give him all her adoration and consideration.

Shehu said the suspect didn’t show any hint of emotional wellness yet he will be taken to a mental medical clinic for an appropriate mental assessment.

”Fundamental clinical assessment on the presume’s state of mind uncovers no hint of mental issue, nonetheless, he will be taken to a Psychiatric Hospital in Kazaure, Jigawa State to appropriately learn his psychological status before being charged to a court of capable purview.” Shehu said
