Client shoots man dead over Shawarma in Lagos bar


The Lagos state police order is as of now on the path of a yet-to-be-distinguished man who supposedly shot one Kayode Oloruntoba in the stomach over Shawarma in the Alagbado region of Lagos State on Friday, September 11.

Punch reports that the sad episode happened after late Oloruntoba’s companion, Kazeem Okikilola, went to Avid Bar at Alagbado to purchase Shawarma and called Oloruntoba to go along with him. Anyway before Oloruntoba got to the bar, Okikilola and another client had gotten into a contention over who was to be served first. The contention deteriorated into a genuine quarrel and out of disturbance, the presume left the spot, entered his vehicle, and drove away.

A couple of moments later, Oloruntoba met Okikiola at the spot and keeping in mind that they hung tight for the Shawarma, the suspect supposedly returned, drew out a firearm, and fired toward the two companions. The projectile hit Oloruntoba in the stomach. The suspect promptly fled the scene subsequent to discharging the shot.

An occupant who just recognized himself as Chinedu said the suspect erroneously discharged the shot at Oloruntoba who never met him or had the contention with him

“He really felt that he shot the individual (Okikiola) he contended with. Sadly, the slug hit an inappropriate individual. Quickly, the suspect got once again into his vehicle and drove away,”

Another inhabitant, Seyifunmi Akinola, said a local specialist helped with eliminating the shot from Oloruntoba’s body, including that he kicked the bucket while being hurried to the clinic for additional treatment.

Affirming the occurrence, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said six suspects, including Okikiola, have been cross examined over the tragic episode.

“After the shooting, his companion and witness, Kazeem Okikiola, who had prior called Oloruntoba to go along with him at the Shawarma spot, would not report the episode to the police, but instead took the perished to a botanist in Ogun State, where they removed the pellets from his body.

“He later took Oloruntoba to his sibling’s home in the Ipaja region of Lagos State, where he kicked the bucket. As a follow up to the episode, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, coordinated that police criminologists be prepared to chase the presumes connected to the murdering.

“During the examination, the proprietor of the Shawarma spot, Chimezie Amaechi; the expired’s companion, Kazeem Okikiola; the Manager of the Avid Bar, Olayinka Oyedokun, and his companions, Femi Victor, Taiwo Morokola, and Omole Wasiu were captured. These presumes are giving valuable data that can help the police in the examination.” Adejobi said

He included that the case has been moved to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Panti, Yaba, for prudent examination.
